I am...albeit I'm about 1 hour behind with watching the taped first session. And although I'm finding Ebdon a bit boring and too slow to really enjoy watching, I'm hoping for a good, tight final.

Good frame. I think it will work in Maguire's favour even though he lost it, because it's given him a lot of table time at least. Ebdon could have won the last two frames in one visit, without really giving Maguire a shot.

I'm surprised Ebdon has taken the early lead really, but he does get himself up for these matches, and he almost never cracks once he really gets going. Maguire will once again need to raise his game after the interval. He did it against Lee, so I don't see why he can't here.

The WSA need to sort this out. You're not entitled to take 3mins to serve a ball at Tennis, spend 5mins preparing to take a penalty at Football or take 8hrs to play a pro round of Golf. Ebdon is clearly playing as slowly as he possible can on purpose to wreck the other guy's head, and in my book that's cheating and is why all of the other sports mentioned above don't allow such "tactics"!!

Hehe, I was just thinking that. With a possible 13 frames tonight, surely it must reach 6pm, which would be midnight local time. But then again, the way things are going in 2012, Ebdon could win 10-1.

That frame sure was a scrap, and not in a good way, because it was caused by a couple of missed sitters early on, rather than good tactical play.

Yes i doubt ebdon plays this slow in practice. He's definetly trying to do maguires head in. Should be warned.

How long have they been playing for so far ? At work so not able to watch it .

But i take it the Tortoise is playing his way as usual . Is he taking ages over simple shots ?
