So Higgins has to make an O´Sullivan to stay in the tournament. The way he´s plaing it doesn´t look likely.

I called it, both this morning and this afternoon

Though I thought it would be closer than this.

Having Higgins in your name seems to mean losing five on the trott

Good call here, for sure (=

Higgins didn't turn up for this, which is something unexpected for me, although I slightly favored Maguire to win it.

So, when was the last time Higgins was whitewashed in a proper match? O'Sullivan was in danger today, first time since 2006, but I'm not sure Higgins had been whitewashed in the time I've been watching snooker at all.

The two matches I've seen in their entirety so far are Ken Doherty vs Patrick Einsle and John Higgins vs Stephen Maguire. Two close-run contests.
