So I think that put's ROS back into 16th place. If he wins tommorow (which judging by his form today sounds unrealistic) he'll probably go up another place or two because of how tight it is from around 14-18.

I dunno, but summat needs sorting with these broadcasters..

So ron won shortly after it went off did he?
The match ended about 5 minutes after it went off air. It looked as if Lee was going to clear up but then just after we went off air he missed. Then apparently ROS missed match ball, which was followed by a miss by Lee and ROS cleared up from there.

You have to watch it online but the LiveWorldSnooker.tv subscription is excellent. Great quality and doesn't cut its coverage short since they have no other time commitments. I'm very happy with it.

read in the ronnie forum that had to fight with grandular fever since November and felt exhausted after this match

think he wouldnt entered the tournamets like UK, masters, this one if his top 16 place wasnt at stake

Didn't he say at the UK that he felt exhausted the week before? GF is hard to shake off.

this puts his efforts in this tournament into another perspective

that he got that far with struggling physically shows what a class act he is

That match was hilarious by the way.

Lee kept going for his shots but was having a horrible run of the balls. He kept selling out to Ronnie, who kept missing relatively easy balls. The cycle kept repeating and you could see Ronnie starting to meltdown. If Lee hadn't left match-ball pink over the hole who knows what would've happened.

Hopefully Ronnie doesn't just hop on a plane home before the final tomorrow. He looked pretty fed up out there.

If he is sick, that would explain a lot. Didn't know that.

                  cant imagine him doing this

he will play regardless if he is gonna lose the match 0-9

woudl be a shame for the crowd who paid for the finale, but u never know with ronnie

                    Me neither.

His refusal of going for two snookers in two ideal tables looked an odd decision, something he hasn't showed in years, perhaps.
                    Hope he feels better tomorrow.

Hopefully his condition will improve by next week.

My mum had to miss an entire year of University because of GF. It just doesn't go away and totally kills your energy levels - she was basically bed ridden for 8 months.

It's one of those ilnesses where time is the only cure. I just hope he get's clear of it by the time the WC comes about.

one advantage is that he has now more rest than he would have had if he had played in the evening

i am looking always for the bright side in difficult moments

Anyway, he made some comments in a few of the british newspapers, the gist of it was:

                            Murphy said:

“I thought it was pathetic, unprofessional. It was disrespectful to the public who had paid to come and watch him play. Four thousand pounds is a lot of money to a lot of people. It was bad taste.”

“I’m a bit tired of all this ‘Ronnie’s Ronnie’ stuff. I don’t subscribe to it, that he should be allowed to get away with it.

“There’s no doubt Ronnie is the biggest draw in snooker and he is the person everyone flocks to watch.

“Snooker is better with Ronnie than without. He creates a buzz and I enjoy playing him.

“We play in the Premier League this week. As far as the players are concerned he is the benchmark even though he is not No1. But from a bloke’s perspective, I watched what he did on TV and didn’t like it.

“Some of my mates thought it was quite funny when I told them but for the people who saw it, it was quite offensive.”

Murphy re-opens old wounds by firing broadside at 'selfish' Rocket

                            By Ivan Speck

The foibles of Ronnie O'Sullivan are known to everyone but they don't fool the man he faces on Saturday in the second round of the World Championship.

Shaun Murphy, champion in 2005, is the most outspoken critic of The Rocket, turning the encounter into a grudge match, at least from his side.

The 28-year-old rails constantly against what he perceives as selfish behaviour by The Rocket.

When O'Sullivan initially refused to pot the final black of a 147 break at the World Open in Glasgow in September because the reward for compiling a maximum was just £4,000, Murphy called his actions 'pathetic', 'offensive' and 'unprofessional'.

Three months later, when O'Sullivan was knocked out of the UK Championship in the last 32, Murphy went further, insisting: 'It's not all about Ronnie O'Sullivan.'

Nor does he see O'Sullivan's request to withdraw from this year's Betfred.com-sponsored Crucible event as anything other than more self-publicity.

He added: 'I don't think any of the players fell for Ronnie's "I'm not coming" comments. There have been a few times this season when he's kept us guessing. Some players were surprised he turned up at the China Open last month after missing other events abroad. But nobody misses the world championship, nobody.

'He looked in very good shape in the first round for someone who didn't want to play and he couldn't be more dangerous. He is a genius, a fantastic player, But he doesn't scare me.'

Murphy on his fued with ROS:
                              http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DEqEH_Ir0nc

Murphy has said a few nice things about ROS recently. Their "fued" has been blown way out of proportion. It's Selby that ROS doesn't seem to like.
