I'm probably just stating the obvious, but Maguire really looks set for the title tomorrow. Whitewashing Higgins, beating the in-form Trump from 4-2 down and now trashing Murphy I just can't see how an ill O'Sullivan who only just fell over the line against Lee will defeat him. Barring a huge dip in form overnight I think he will win this one tomorrow.

Now I'm going to check some betting sites, and if any of them makes Ronnie favorite I know who I'll place my bet on.

but u have not an average player in front of u, he has to play againts the genius of ronnie osullivan who surely will have the crowds support

A tremendous performance from Maguire, not totally unexpected, but it's still hard to believe he is back to that kind of form.

He has to be the favourite for tomorrow, there is no doubt he has played the better snooker of the two. Still, O'Sullivan has a habit of playing well in finals, even when the other guy seemed stronger throughout the week. Not sure that kind of thinking is still relevant at this point in time though, as O'Sullivan hasn't really played too many of these matches recently.

Ah well, that was a bit of a damp squib, the crowd seemed to have enjoyed it though.
Should be a good final, I just hope it's not another bloody whitewash, I want my money's worth! Where're Ebdon and Mcleod when you need them??

u have say that mag apart from two matches chokes against him more often than not

example:

WSC 2005 1st round led 9-7 and had gloruse chance
Shanghai SF lost 5-6
nearly choked at the master 2008 his last win against ronnie btw. led 5-3 then 5-5, 50+ lead in the decider only for ronnie to comeback and make a mess of a blue with the spider (cant forget this shot, why he hit it so hard)

this will play an importan role

There is the 2007 UK final as well, a heavy beating which Maguire is not likely to ever forget. But then again, you could say that was a different era.

both are tempramental players, latley they found a way to control their emotions better. this helped. but i think tomorrows winner will be who shows more patience and determination than the other.

look at the welsh opens finale last year. as he afterwards said he should have led 7-1 against higgins after the first session but lost many frames on the black and had consequently only a 5-3 lead. in the second session he made dozen of 50+ plus breaks but they won him only one frame. cruel game sometimes

Maguire was at his very best, winning frames in one visit, even from behind. It's not like Murphy was all over the place, but I suppose he did crack a bit under the pressure put on him by Maguire.
