5 - 3 it is....That's a really good result for Ronnie considering how well Maguire is playing!!

5-3 Maguire. Can't help but feel he has missed a great opportunity here to win the match in the first session. Ronnie has something to fight for tonight, could be closer than it should have been. Still feel Maguire will win it but might be very close.

I think O'Sullivan will be delighted, I didn't think he would win two of the last three frames from 1-4 down. He has given himself every chance for tonight, it's just a shame it's not first to ten from his point of view.
I'm sure Maguire would have taken any sort of lead ahead of the session, so he can't be disappointed either. The first frame or two tonight will be crucial I suppose. Maguire just needs to tie each mini session 2-2, and he gets to nine first.

I think a lot depends on whether Maguire still has his break building boots on this evening. Tough for a slightly out of sorts ROS if so.
In the last few frames some small errors had started to appear for Maguire, though. O'Sullivan is playing what I think might be his standard B game these days. Bit iffy on the long ones, still great in the balls for the most part but breaking down in the 40s or 50s too often to be winning frames cleanly.

Ronnie will be very please to get out of that session 3-5 behind. It could very easily have been 6-2 or 7-1, then it might of been a short nght tonight for maguire. Lets see now how he copes in a final session. Come on ronnie, fight back.Blown away
