I think the original Masters trophy (not the one Paul Hunter's holding aloft above) was presented to Stephen Hendry after he won it 5 ? years in a row. What happened to the other one?

Couldn't find a photo of the Gold Trophy Alex Higgins won when winning the Masters in 1978, but HERE is a video clip of him with the trophy. Alex and trophy at 1:40..

Yes that's right. I like you prefer the Gold trophy...nothing fancy but just has a nice look about it..

I also have in my pic collection the 1989-94 trophy. Very beautiful too.

Hendry got it for the five in a row trick.

With it engraved as 'The Benson and Hedges Masters' - Mark Williams got it after beating Hendry 10-4, - in 2003, the last year of Benson & Hedges Sponsorship.
