Selby has put unnecessary pressure on himself by saying he is "targeting" a third title. King has been unlucky this season, drawing Ronnie and Ryan Day (really a top 16 player) in first round of ranking tournaments. King will edge it 6-4

Selby had the best stroke of luck in the world in the Championship league final against Ali Carter when Carter got a huge kick when playing a red in the Decider leaving the red over the pocket and Selby got 4 reds and colors instead of Carter to win...

saw selby yesterday in harrow and he was looking very relaxed and upbeat about today. he was playing very well in the short time i saw him play. he signed my cue case and i got a photo with him selby to win!

I think it's going to be close. But Selby will probably prevail.

Selby will win, just to stay in the tournament to keep his annoying game in the television screens more. Pure boredom.

King is talented, but his temperament makes him look like a miserable player at times. A bit like Ryan Day, who also has great potential, but just can't put the things together to achieve.

I wonder whether it would make a difference in his confidence and focus provided somehow King won. I'm not sure, but I personally think that we're not going to learn it today, either.

I think I predicted Selby to win this one 6-3.

The best-of-11 is perfect for his game, as he usually gets stronger towards the end of matches, and those extra couple of frames have worked in his favour several times over in last three years at this event. He is the leading century scorer of the season, and he played well but not brilliantly at the UK, which is usually a good sign. I definitely think he is up for it.

As for King, well, he would have to play out of his skin to beat an in-form Selby. But if Selby does show any weakness, I'm sure King will be ready to exploit it, just as he did in the WC in 2008.

I'm looking forward to this one.

I can only see one winner here and that is Mark Selby. His all round game is superior to that of King's, but what he does possess is (great fighting spirit) as does Selby..
