At least I got something right. That's now 10 of 12 UK finalists failing to get past the 1st round of the Masters in the last six years.
I'm really unhappy because you got it correct

    I was hoping for a Higgins-Williams re-match.

    Then got a Dott-Ding.

I don't really care either way, but at least Williams and Higgins going out has somewhat compensated for Selby's debacle, as far as the fantasy game is concerned.

Having said that, steedee is now in a strong position to join the top, not having picked any of these players.

I know. But I'm much more interested in the real game than the fantasy, and now, I'll certainly skip Dott's match ( school comes first, ok, perhaps not when Ronnie or MJW plays ).

Having already skipped the entire Selby-King and Higgins-Dott games and much of Carter-Ebdon, as well : /

Dott played very much like he did at the world championship. He could be very dangerous to anyone.

Massive WELL DONE to Graeme! Who's betting on Ding might be in for a nasty surprise. I'd love to see the Pocket Dynamo win the event! Especially as they have him at 50/1, well now 20/1...

            Way to go, Dotty!

Another correct result for me! Two out of four prediction right with the correct scorelines.

              Well done, Graeme!

And again I missed the last couple of frames.

This Tournament has lost its appeal .

Its only a glorified exhibition event any way , now the prize money has gone , the top players seem to be less interested , add the fact that all the players who are not from London hate the event, and the irritating know- it - all crowd .

I wonder if they still drug test the winners

Sounds to me like someone should give you a drugs test. You obviously have a problem with people from London, of which I'm proud to be one. It's a public forum but I haven’t got time for bigoted views

Firstly ; my father was from london that gets that out of the way

Secondly; the crowd HAVE ALWAYS BEEN BIAS, HOSTILE ,AND ANNOYING, or recently dam right racist Ding v Ronnie any one .

Thirdly; i have a problem with this tournament because i believe it is not a sporting event , as it is not open to the entire field , or awards ranking points or ANY advancement within the sport's rankings are achieved , thus it is a corporate sponsored EXHIBITION event, which surely breaches the BBC' S definition of sport , it is in fact a series of glorified exhibition matches .

Forth point : Ronnie v Davies betting was allegedly suspended with Ronnie leading by five frames ,first to nine all monies going on Davies for win guess who won .

Five; apparently it is was not open [ as it is not a ranking tournament] to the same scrutiny when it came to drug testing , that is why persons who won this event, did not apparently re discover the same form at other events allegedly .

                        Firstly, bully for your Dad.

Secondly, you're absolutely correct. Worst crowd in all of snooker.

Thirdly, nonsense from start to finish.

Fourthly, anything you feel the need to caveat with an "allegedly" is pointless although the credibility of the game re gambling is irreversibly tarnished.

                        Fifthly, allegedly blah blah.

Glad we have points one and two out of the way , but in my initial post i said London Crowd not Londoners .

On the third question it is an invitation event [ so is the boat race, but it does not attract heavy sponsorship in the same way ]

I stand by my point that it is an exhibition event .by definition it is

.But as is the norm the best players, in particular Higgins cannot wait to get away from it .

Forth point . The Story goes.[ and i will include allegedly ] Lord archer attended the masters final as he was chair of WPBSA who's invited guest [ some medical officer ]was to test the winner of the masters , as a course of duty. the eventual winner was trailing at the interval by at least five frames. [the betting exchanges DID suspend betting ] allegedly !!!.

                          Fifth point .

Some players in particular, performed in a more "RELAXED" state at the masters, culminating in performances that , belie there ranking and achievements in other tournaments .

Finally this event is the last thing the sport needs right now , the top players sulking round the table , not fully committed, sexist shouting at the referee.

Make it the masters ranking event , which would give it a purpose, and i bet you would see Higgins competing ditto Ronnie .

Oh no it's my fav event just don't like the crowd. As for Higgins wanting away, I would say his celebration on winning at a couple of years ago was the most jubilant I have seen him.

The allegedly stuff speaks for itself really. It is mere heresay.

Hang on... "the crowd" are a mixture of differnet people aren't they? I was part of that "crowd" a few times.

You get good crowds and bad crowds everywhere don't you?
Forget it, Donny, you're out of your element
