He played better at the WC when he beat Ronnie, but even that wasn't a breakthrough performance of any kind. Today Ronnie claimed that Allen played "really well." He was having a laugh. I wish Mark King was playing him in the next round
i'm under the impression that allen is a cocky little kid.
his comments and gestures when he beat ronnie in WC 2009 were just anything but respectful. someone should teach this kid a lesson, and woop his butt, and shove his cue up his.....

looking back at ronnie's past head to head with allen, ronnie has always seemd aloof and distinerested when hes up against allen. is there something between them?

Allen does not fear O'Sullivan and O'Sullivan knows it....that's about the long and the short of it..

I don't understand these comments that Allen shouldn't be pleased with his performance or that Ronnie should retire (wtf?!), Mark played well, maybe not spectacular but he did enough to beat a player who has been a major force in this tournament for years. He didn't freeze which could happen to a lot of players against Ronnie at Wembley. And Ronnie didn't play well, happens to every player now and then and if a player doesn't play well he deserves to lose. So I take it as sour grapes from bitter Ronnie fans...

        Anyways,

        Well done Mark Allen!

I felt like I wasted two hours watching telly so I agree with you, it must have been extremely annoying for those paying good money at the venue!!!

I don't mind him playing good and not winning like he's done on many occasions. All I wanted to see was one of his sublime breaks but no, I was denied even that!!!
Yes he did but it doesn't have to be a complete wash-out...

Yes ok ok! Since when have you been in charge?

In a way I'm lucky I didn't watch it and I hope if I see him in Sheffield he'll play better

Well... You started, silly.tee!!! I was just trying to keep you in check, but dancing with sharks would be an easier task!

I'm not interested in the other match... Fu's hypnotising rhythm makes me fall asleep but I hope Mags wins it.

Wondering then how things would have looked today if quarterfinal was scheduled not for Friday.

A little different attitude than against Robertson or Williams last year.

Seems like this year lower ranked players are more motivated to play for money...

how much did you pocket this time?

When i say unproffessionally, i mean his attitude towards the match itself. He conceided a frame with only one snooker needed to tie. He was making very much insane shot selections throughout the match, which showed that he does not care at all about the match and his fans who came in huge number to watch him. When he poted a long opening red, but did not land nicely on the black, he refused to play with the extended spider off the black and back to baulk, but chose to play safety shot off the green on which he was snookered. That long yellow which he took on and missed by a mile was disgrace for the main tour itself. My point is, if he does not want to bother him self with snooker anymore, then maybe it will be best for him and his vast number of fans if he retires, and switch to long distance running.

No player with a brain should fear Ronnie these days. He's done.

Even though the Masters is prestigious its not the worst tournament to get knocked out in due to it being non ranking
