    Australia 1 - England 3

    Oh sorry, the snooker?

    Maguire 4 (22) - Fu 5 (42)
Oh, and that's a bad miss.

anyone else getting annoyed with how critical virgo is being of Fu, i mean virgo was right at first, but now hes blowing it way out of proportional when he was talking about why didnt he roll up behind the pink, he played a BETTER shot, it was a better snooker and he got the green safe... !

          Agreed, it's certainly OTT.

I would say as well that until 5-1 Maguire could hardly get any table time or any chance to get into a rhythm, but then he put some breaks together and so for Fu to slow him down and make things scrappy, well it's probably not the worst idea.

I'd always back Fu over Maguire in a frame like this.

Well... it only happens once every 24 years, got to make the most of it!
Oh, and that's a bad miss.

Fu struggled over the line at last. I thought by 5-1 allready about other watchable programms to switch over BTW why is every match ending 6-4 this year?
Ten reds and not a colour...

Well quite a match it turned out to be...

Another 6-4 and Fu keeps the lower ranked player win streak alive.
                    Just Murphy and Robertson left from Top 8 to play apart from Ding who is already in QF;

Can Hendry pull it off tomorrow?

What a strange match. Should have and probably would have gone all the way but for the miss rule, and I think Maguire would have won if it had. Still, congrats to Marco.

It could not be a foul if the referee called the wrong player to break and he did.

The ruling is, if it is noticed before the next shot or foul (the other player's first turn) is made, then the balls are reset and the frame restarted correctly. If a subsequent shot or foul has occurred before it is noticed, then the frame is underway and cannot be restarted (unless a re-rack later occurs, then it can be restarted by the correct player!).

The following frame will see the original order restored, even though it means the same player has broken three times in a row.

Did the scoreboard malfunction? At the start of a frame, the scoreboard should show the break of 0 against the player who is to break off. Referees who are used to the pro set-up with electronic scoreboards probably 'learn to forget' who is to break, knowing that the info will be there for him. Same with announcing "The xx th frame".
