The snooker on the pink in frame 11 was the turning point of the match. One of the best I've seen under such pressure.

Marco didn't have the long game to compete and didn't create enough chances for himself. Without that, having a great skill among the balls isn't enough.

Of course, Ding is 9 years younger, his long game is understandably better. His break building is very consistent and his mental approach was pretty good all week. Well played.

Ding now has 2 UK's and 1 Masters title. Ronnie had the same amount at age 22, so Ding is not that far back actually.

"No midnight finish" depends on where you are. Way too late for the Chinese fans for instance and even past midnight for East European!

          Yes, quite.

A midnight finish for me means 11pm local time. With the final sessions of the big three tournaments starting at 8pm, I get them quite often, as long as the match is somewhat close. I don't mind a 1am finish either.

We have snooker in Brazil next year, I wonder what that will feel like...

That means I will miss the evening sessions in Brazil, because it's going to be very, very late for Europe
And a good amount of sessions will be lost due to school work, so, probably I'll be able to watch very little of it..
            All the way Mark J!!

If anything at all... It's very difficult to find streams even for the Wuxi Classic, might be even tougher for this event.

But the times are not too bad. A 1.30pm session from Sao Paulo would be 10.30pm CET, while a 7pm evening session would start at 4am CET. I can deal with that.

And I thought it was only me that had that empty feeling! That's why I enjoy this forum so much - like minded souls...

And well said JRC - always the same in London - They behave like there at a football match. I hate that... ignorance beyond belief

Marco ruined the final. He shouldn't refuse the pot on the pink in the 11th frame. At 6-5 it would have been a different mind set for both players. Ding was a very relieved man to see him go 7-4 up instead of 6-5 down. I hate early night finish of any final

is it possible somehow to find the information about the number of people watching the final on TV? I've read that 100 million people watched it in China, but what's the source? And what about the rest of the world?

Well played, Ding. He was so strong but had Marco won the 11th frame I think the result could've been well different as I thought Ding was getting a little anxious already. But it was a great snooker Ding made and after winning that frame he was back playing very well.

I thought so too. They were heckling pretty much throughout - particularly loudly when John Parrot was doing the interviews.
