Quote from world snooker. "He missed one or two early on, but apart from that I didn't really miss anything to give him chances. If Ronnie keeps playing, and avoids me, he will still be winning tournaments."
Can he, by any chance, be only kidding??? I know it's tough that O'Sullivan lost but please come on... For what I saw Trump was simply stronger, especially early on. Luck had nothing to with this victory. He was the better player today.

Jan makes a mistake in the Higgins Dott snoozefest! best thing about the match so far!

I think that´s basicly what characterizes a player on form. When Ronnie beat Selby at the UK championship, he started the 147 break out of a shot that was so close to getting in, and this day I still can´t believe that his first black actually did fall. If Higgins hadn´t made the green ball against Ronnie in UK champs 2009 it would have been game over. And if you look back there are lots of these examples with balls just running the right way for the winneer.

He does get some run though . Probably due to the fact that he hits the ball so hard
Still trying to pot as many balls as i can !

i agree about the old guard 4 players though, but i feel there's probably only higgins that could stop trump in his tracks, even if he does look off sorts recently.

I've not seen all the matches but there does not seem to be no where near as many kicks in the matches . Also the players are hardly asking the ref to clean the cue ball . Anyonne else notice this ? Could it be something to do with the size of the venue...different atmosphere ?

Dott - Higgins 2 - 2 Higgins doesn´t look too god missing some uncharacteristic balls, and Dott struggles with his positional play just like yesterday.

Big Jan mistakenly corrected himself by having a 4-point foul count as 5. John fouled the brown by hitting it with his cue while cueing up for a red, then the white hit the blue. Jan called a 4-point foul, and later made the mistake of correcting himself thinking it should have been a 5-point foul.

Cold and damp seems to mean chalk sticks to everything more. The new club im playing in is freezing when it just opens (im stood outside waiting for it to open most times!). First hour whilst the place warms up is a nightmare.

Which Neal Foulds thinks should have been a 5 point foul. Discussing on twitter now with Jimmy.

One of them fouled the brown, Jan initially awarded 4 points, then halfway through dotts break stops him mid stroke on a red to correct it to a 5 point foul, spends about 5 minutes doing so, having halted play, then realizes that it actually was a 4 point foul, spends another 5 minutes correcting it back, dott misses his shot, Jan has to apologise, it was legendary. lol

Really can't image it being a 5-point foul though. Must be 4, right?

Too bad really, as Jan is normally without fault...imo the best ref at the moment. I might be partial though...I'm Dutch

I thought it was the highest value ball fouled that counted though? We need the Statman on it lol
