Not really for me to be fair. He still has some skills to learn. You can't expect to hit and pot everything, and when you miss, get away with it. I know it's a different game nowadays, but apparently safety still is a part of snooker.

Trump just getting his 1st frame on the board will help him settle down.

Judd in the groove now. Hopefully he can square things going into the mid-session interval..

I would love to see Neil go 3-1 up going into the interval, gives him some wiggle-room

Actually, this is what I tried to mean, exactly. He is playing some silly shots that I doubt teenagers would tend to take on and this is not about self-confidence after a point.
He is not making the game better for me to watch, regardless of others finding him entertaining especially as long as he keeps taking on the type of shots like the one he fouled on the pink.

There is a major problem, I know. The hairstyle.
Could be solved easily if Neil agrees, though.

Anyway, leaving the joke aside, he did the better thing for the sake of his own career, just as Peter.

I agree completely, exactly like you said...it is just too much exhibition stuff. But then again, I'm old-school really and like the old type of play...measured and tactical. The Dart-atmosphere like changes that Hearn brought are imo not best for snooker. Snooker should stay snooker and not veer into the overhyped and over shortened form that we see more and more now. I think only the World Ch. stays longer-format, and that's 100% right. Should go for each major tournament though imo. But anyway, I seem to be rambling on somewhat

Well done Robertson, good response. Trump will need to up his game after the interval.

So far, Neil has dominated the game and dictated the scoreboard, as well. Judd needs to play a little bit more carefully from now on, or he could find himself in a deep hole soon.
Not quite classic stuff when it comes to the tactical department between these two, but they still played decent snooker in the first four frames, I think.

Is it me or does Trump always seem to get the run of the ball? I usually watch all the BBC events, the PL, snooker shootout/power snooker and the odd match on Eurosport and it seems like every time I watch him he get's lucky with flukes and getting away with misses.

It's not you, the run of the ball often seems to favor Judd and especially after a big swing at a ball. Like discussion before with Montoya, I don't care for it. It must even out in the end is my opinion. I really like to see a player take on a pot with the respect it deserves, and when missing the pot, the balls used to roll rather safe in most cases. Judd seems to have a bigger percentage go either in the pocket via couple of cushions and hitting other balls, or go strangely safe or awkward for he other player.

Have to be fair to Judd though, he is a fantastic player and he does have character and strength to crawl back from behind. That I got to give him...

Yes you're right, he's actually a grand master of the black arts, and as such can control the natural laws of the universe.

I guess you could make the arguement of he who dares wins. He goes for some unreal shots and usually get's them. At times he possibly makes his own luck.

                                That's a good one, really. That's a good one : )

What drama there, Judd threw it away in the final blue.
