I never had the chance to watch Higgins in his pomp as I wasn't born until 1981, but I have heard many a tale of him conceding frames before the snookers -required stage. The myth of Higgins as this relentless entertainer seems to be growing - no doubt the man could entertain like no-one else, but he threw hissy fits of such magnitude as to make Ronnie look like a meek amateur.

I think people certainly found him more entertaining after he had retired, and was no longer going to be a problem to other players.

The true culprit is judd's hairstyle. And as he is an emo, he must wine after matches.

And daffie I completely agree, he has never shown any respect to players or acknowledges a good shot, I've never seen him tap the table in appreciation ever.
Cueman your right, the only thing wrong with Judd is RSummers ditch him and things will get better

Alex being an entertainer is no myth, evidence of this the 1980 world champs against thorburn when he was 9-5 up and started playing exhibition screw shots when the frame wasn't won. Which cost him title, don't think you will see players doing that today. Maybe on blue, pink, or black with frame secure is closest ya gonna get

i'm not denying he was an entertainer, but he didn't do a suicide job every time he played - I seem to recall for much of the '82 tournament he played relatively sane snooker.

Judds trying to be the badboy of snooker like Higgins White O'sullivan and Hann but his personallity doesn't match it. nd hanging out with crew like RSummers isn't helping him.

But if you can play "badboy" or "naughty" snooker and get away with it then why not however if he thinks its gonna make him popular then he is deluded,.

He needs to settle down play sensible snooker win the frames and matches then showboat when the frame is won

That comes down to the criticism that has been directed at Judd for sometime, right? Acting like someone he, in reality, isn't.
                            Makes sense this way.

Going off topic, what an interesting and strange figure Hann was. If somebody was to be the bad boy, I'd prefer him, that's for sure.

Hann was a bit of a tit, to be fair.

Personally I didn't care much for Hann...too much of an @ss really imo. He just had far too little respect for the game. Glad he's gone.
