I never had the chance to watch Higgins in his pomp as I wasn't born until 1981, but I have heard many a tale of him conceding frames before the snookers -required stage. And daffie I completely agree, he has never shown any respect to players or acknowledges a good shot, I've never seen him tap the table in appreciation ever.

Alex being an entertainer is no myth, evidence of this the 1980 world champs against thorburn when he was 9-5 up and started playing exhibition screw shots when the frame wasn't won. Which cost him title, don't think you will see players doing that today. Maybe on blue, pink, or black with frame secure is closest ya gonna get

i'm not denying he was an entertainer, but he didn't do a suicide job every time he played - I seem to recall for much of the '82 tournament he played relatively sane snooker.

Personally I didn't care much for Hann...too much of an @ss really imo. He just had far too little respect for the game. Glad he's gone.
