  • My first live snooker experience!

Now it's all booked and confirmed!

    Evening semi-final (C1, row 2), afternoon final (C5, row 2), evening final (C1, row 7).

Getting there saturday mid-day, leaving monday afternoon.

Feels great, finally getting to one!! Hope to see some faces too!

Now all I got to do is find somewhere to stay... anyone know if The Green Man Hotel just outside the arena is any good?

Well done sir, same sessions like me. Though I have not yet booked the evening semi. We could have a few jars before the semi starts!

We have been in the green man, but only the pub. I did not like it. very scruffy! Not my style. I have got a link to some not so favourable comments about the place.

The Ibis is pretty good, but still 47 quid a night.

Thank you very much for the link Paul, I suspected it could be scruffy, to that prize. There are many other other low-budget hotels in the area, so I'll wait and see. Would feel odd, though, to pay more for one night without breakfast (Ibis) than I payed for both my flight tickets!

Normally I would go with my mate and share the room price, as in York we share the apartment. You have to find a friend in Sweden to join you and save some pennies. I doubt there is something cheaper, I have looked around. Unless you dont mind a hostel. its only for sleeping. There is a bed and breakfast in south ealing. 30 pounds a night. but not quite near Wembley.

I thank you for your help, Paul. But since none of my mates are snooker interested and those I play with are about ten years older than me, I prefer to travel on my own.

And I've now found a hotel room really worth its price I can tell you! Travellodge, former Holiday Inn situated not very far from the tube station that is next to Wemblet Park. Looks nice and clean, got a bar, restaurant and all. The prize, belive it or not, is £15 per night, plus breakfast.I don't think I can find a better deal than that.

I just saw an ad in today's paper that Travelodge are offering loads of £15 per night at their hotels. It's a brilliant deal, they are usually at least double that. You definitely wouldn't find anything cheaper.!

Indeed. I have cancelled mine at Ibis and booked into travelodge as well. its normally 59 pounds a night, a real bargain. And as extras when I booked, it said, "Free host (ess) included".
