      Thank you,Ginger.
I tend to agree with Lindsey. I really think the WSA should have given a proper explanation.

I'm not so sure about re-naming the trophy after Paul, it has been called The Masters for thirty odd years now. When you think of The Masters you think of Paul anyway.

One idea I did have was along the same lines as the Joe Davis trophy which was awarded to the player who made the highest break in Pot Black. So, how about the Paul Hunter Trophy which will be awarded to the player who makes the highest break in the Masters, and Paul was a break builder after all.

I doubt there will be a proper one.
Ok...i mean... they couldn't rename The Masters after Paul for reasons I kinda understood , they couldn't rename the trophy after Paul either , for reasons i didn't understood but lets say i dunno enough to be able to understand them possible reasons ..BUT then, why on Earth they never came up with something else, some kinda of tribute , anything... to honour Paul's memory , after all it is the first Masters after his passing away ??!!

paul hunter wont get forgotten just cos wsa wont remind us of him all the time. it so happenes that for the those of us that he mattered and for those of us who wanna remember him will. we dont need any one to remind us.

still, of course it would be nice if w any kind of memorial for him. but renaming tournamnets and trophyes dont seem like the right thing. i think its kinda insulting and lazy. oh he is dead lets just rename somethign to seem like we care. i dont think it means anything. eventually they will have to keep renaming stuff for every snooker player that dies..especially if he dont die of old age.

he was young and he was an inspiration. WSA should use this for a good cause and to promote snooker! instead of simply renaming something, they should go through the trouble of creating a new tournament. personally i think they should do a tournament and have all the profits divided 50/50..half for charity and other half to the scholarship funding a new player a year thing.

at end of the day it wont matter to me what they do. if they do something in his houner and tribute than thats absoltly fantastic. and if they dont its still ok coz he is very much remembered by me...and wont be in any way less missed if a tribute is done.

coz we are already on the subject of paul hunter i would like to leave the link to the fundraising site i have made in memory of Paul Hunter

            http://www.justgiving.com/joonedelam

im sure many of you have seen it in the post i made in the snooker lounge (hunter - my reason for snooker), but i just wanted to remind ppl of it. it means so much to me! any amount donated regardless how big or small is still important. so plz plz plz try to find the money to donate. tnx

'I think offering an up and coming youngster the Paul Hunter Scholarship is a much better way of commemorating the 3 times Masters Champ. Hopefully this will help us to see a new Paul Hunter come onto the circuit.
