  • Wembley Arena - What's the Verdict?

Has anyone been to The Masters yet?

If anyone has, what is your verdict on Wembley Arena?

I loved Wembley Conference Centre, it was my second favourite venue behind The Crucible. The seats were so big and comfy - the seats at Wembley Arena look really nasty.

I'm sure it's a good venue though. I'll find out for myself on Wednesday - I'm going to the Hendry v Stevens match and I'm on the front row.

Yeah I liked it, have been to the conference centre 3 times but I have to say the Arena is very very good. Then again I was only 4 rows from the front!

Lucky you, Hendry the eighth, I'm very jealous!

It does not look very attractive. The seats are very small. and the arena sounds and looks like a big hangar. I will give my final verdict on monday.

The one thing I look forward to in Wembley is the lovely big seats with plenty of room (as you know I struggle for leg room in other arenas!!), but now the seats look small - I'm not impressed!!

The same kind of folding seats like The Barbican. Hastily flogged into the venue. A bit comfy is not asked too much for those ticket prices!!

I'm not happy - might have to complain!!
Oh I take that back - dont want to get any more negative rep!!!

i think the venue looks quite smart.

ok, its not like the old venue with comfy seats etc...but the players have been saying the table and the venue are good and playing conditions are excellent, so that makes for good snooker usually.

if youre comparing it to the other venue, then its not as good, but would still say its a good venue, going by most of the pros comments so far

Snooker is not an easy sport to accommodate, as most traditional theatre's have their "stage" centre piece at the front of the seats and at a higher level, which is no good for snooker.

Wembley Arena will always create a sense of being an aircraft hanger as it is so vast (can hold over 10,000) but, perhaps if the crowds are good, they will increase the seating capacity next year.

I think it is important for there to be at least one major in London.
