    frame 8

ROS make a good 29 but the break ends when he goes into the pack off a pink and the reds dont split.

the pack was to flat and he didnt get enough spin/power to generate enough movement. hard shot

anyway, a red has went into baulk so the safet is tippy tappy

DO tries a difficult pot on a red to RM. he misses.

ROS pots the red in baulk into the yellow pocket
ROS snookers DO behind the green.

    ROS gets back in

    break -
    1
    7
    8
    14

think he will tap this frame in

    15
    21
    22

    leads 52-0

    28
    29
    35

    red to LC. 36

    frame over

    39

    69-0 up

the break continues but ROS has won the frame, making it

    4-4 in frames

    frame 9 up soon

      Frame 9

DO gets in first in frame 9 and is in amongst the balls.

very good chance for a high break

91% pot success for both players
21 seconds shot duration for both players

DO is picking grapes of a bunch here...

      break is 36, and counting

DO pots the black, but goes for a wee nudge on the reds and doesnt get great shape. hes bridging now...

DO takes his break to 58...another charity one, as was ROS break in the last frame.

      to 65
      66

      on black to RC. potted

      thats the frame over now

      break ends on 81

      5-4 to DO

      frame 10 up soon

          Frame 10

ROS comes out fighting, playing quickly...

he makes a 31, but failed to go into the pack of reds off of the pink
he then does a little shuffle with his feet
he then plays safe. not a great effort

DO pots a red from the safety
DO pots a blue to LM
DO pots a good red to RC
DO pots black to RC, and opens up the pack
DO pots a red but runs the cueball up onto the baulk line between brown and green

DO snookers ROS behind the brown

          Score is 31-15 to ROS

ROS smacks the reds and leaves DO in.......

DO pots a red to RM. ROS bites his thumb nail
          DO pots blue to LM

balls look good to clinch it

          to continue...........

            frame 10 continued

DO is still at the table and is on a break of 15

theres one awkward red, which he may not need

DO pots pink to RM pocket
DO is loose with cueball position

DO gets a kick and leave the balls on for ROS

ROS pots the red, then the black

            39-36 to ROS
            40-36 to ROS
            45-36 to ROS
            46-36 to ROS
            52-36 to ROS

            2 reds left

ROS pots the red, then the pink

            59-36

not on the last red great

            great pot by ROS

            he then pots the black

            frame over

            5-5

            Decider now about to start

"DO gets a kick and leave the balls on for ROS"

I think that understates how desperatly unlucky and costly that kick might be. Think if that was me playing it'd throw me off completly. Hope Ken can win in the decider.

Yeah, sorry, it wasn't really a critism of you, just a way of saying how unlucky ken was. No doubt that that has cost him the match. Now here comes the bbc hyperbole about ronnie....sigh.

Absolutley gutting for Ken missing the match ball, but by heck well done Ronnie kept his cool and played excellent snooker in the last frame.

Thank you Sem for the accurate, detailed and sometimes funny match report! Great job!
Three huge misses: Ronnie - that relatively easy red to the middle in the 6th, Ken - when a few pots away from 6-4 or the red to the RC which got the double kiss in the decider.
                              Phew!
Ronnie will have to up his game a lot for Saturday. 92% pot success...very well but not extraordinary. And he'll have to get better first. Atchoo!

great stuff from Osullivan in that last frame, I noticed Steve Davis is becoming a big fan of him
I saw that going differently in my mind
