    Hello,

Does anyone here know when the O'Sullivan Maguire match is going to place on Saturday - afternoon or evening?

    Dan.

      Hi there,

Just wanted to check - the bit that confused me was that it was down as SECOND SEMI FINAL. I though that this might be referring to the bottom half of the draw.

The last time I saw O'Sullivan play it was against Maguire at York - there were a load of centuries - lets hope for more of the same.

      Dan.

Well, i still dont get it. on the livenation website (for wembley arena) it is listed as follows:

        Quarter Finals:
QF1 - Stephen Maguire vs Neil Robertson
QF2 - Ronnie O' Sullivan vs Ken Doherty
QF3 - Stephen Hendry vs Shaun Murphy
QF4 - Ding Junhuni vs Stephen Lee

        Semi Finals:
        SF1 - winner of QF1 vs winner of QF2
        SF2 - winner of QF3 vs winner of QF4

Second semi final says it on my ticket at 7.30 pm. In my book its O'sullivan and Maguire afternoonsies. and Ding / Henry evening.

thats how it goes with all the other tournaments and Masters before.

Although I just found this on GSC:

        Saturday 20 January 2007: 2.00pm SF2; 7.30pm SF1

        Sunday 21 January 2007 3pm & 8pm FINAL

        Very weird!

I think so too given that O'Sullivan and Maguire finished their quarter final matches first.

Paul, only just noticed what you'd written. You're so sure about a Ding/Hendry semi. Lol!

Usually the top draw goes first in the semi and the bottom draw last (like the worlds). The only explanation i can find, is to pull the crowds in on a saturday evening when O'sullivan is playing.

Wishful thinking! Whichever semi it is. looks promising!

WSA writes: "...to set up a semi-final clash with Ronnie O’Sullivan on Saturday evening"

And the booking form PDF says that too:

                  http://www.worldsnooker.com/pdfs/sim...r_1_131106.pdf

maybe its because they knew the upper half of the draw arguably had the better/crowpulling players.
