You are always going to get people say things, especially in London at the Masters. It isn't really a good excuse and he shouldn't allow one or two people from the crowd to get to him. It makes you appreciate what Hendry did and his record of winning tournaments, many times he had terrible abuse from the crowd yet it made him fight harder.

If Ding is weak mentally he won't make it at the very top for long.

He's probably unused to such a one-sided crowd and combined with being so far behind just couldn't handle it. The more he plays in the top tournaments the more resilient he'll become.

EDIT: This really is strange. Odd choice of safety by Ding, then someone from the crowd shouting something, the ref threatening to have them ejected and Ronnie trying to raise the crowd appreciation. To be fair they're applauding both players. I don't want it to end yet!

If that were the case then it's totally understandable. Especially if it's some hostile or even racist stuff. Living overseas for such long periods in a completely different culture without the company of your family and friends at that yound an age is not easy at all for Ding. He's not a very well matured man inside.

Ding has definitely cired during the interval and what a character Ronnie is to try to help his opponent! What a shame, hope Ding can grow up after this! Fight like a man and lose like a man!
