You would of thought with the bbc no longer showing the world open that they could show the welsh nationwide

Maybe they`ll show it on the Red Button like they did last year?.

They only showed bits of it on the red button last year. It was only on the red button at the same time it was on BBC 2 Wales. No coverage of both tables, and only on for an hour in the evening, at least 10 minutes of which was taken up with talking in the studio and introducing the players.

Let's hope they don't let John Evans commentate this year.

I've heard John Evans isn't commentating this year. His interview after the final was always priceless.

Presumably BBC Wales could use Clive if they wanted to. Not sure why they'd want Willie Thorne instead, although he'll be an improvement on John Evans. I know IMG produce the coverage, but BBC Wales choose the presenters/commentators don't they?

Not like the usual 'dull' welsh accent atall...lol...

I am really looking forward to the Welsh Open, I must say.

I don't like all the best of seven matches early on though. They have no place in a full ranker, in my opinion.

First time I went to the Welsh Open, it was brilliant. It was early rounds, unreserved seating and 3 best-of-nines at a time on. Last year I went for the second time when it was two best-of-sevens at a time. Not quite as good.

I saw the Mark Williams game. He won 4-0 in about 45 minutes. Didn't feel like a game.
