Selby should definately lost this match he was very lucky baird missed that blue into middle pocket as he was perfect on pink!
Too be honest i dont think selby deserves to be number 1 and he wont be there long playing like that anyway thats for sure.Comment

i played sam baird 3 years ago in the under 21s pontins tour 6events he won 2or 3 he was a class act then he drilled me 3 nil. i was also talking to andy hicks when we were playing on ipa pool tour. he was telling me sam baird had 6 tons in one day practising with him thats the standard unreal.Comment

I watched Sam play in that recent qualifier. I believe it was against Jimmy. It was obvious he could compete with anyone.
I think he was over-thinking a lot of shots today out of shear nervousness. I remember him being more fluent in his shot selection.Comment

Selby has been poor for 5 months. It's a good job he won in Shanghai or he would be the least impressive World Number 1 of all time.
But he's definitely better over distance; I don't think he likes these best of 7's.Comment
