I enjoyed the match! O'Sullivan had absolutely zero chance there. Tbh, the run of the ball was on Selby's side but the better player on the day tends to enjoy the run.

It seems theres a trend Going on here when The Player Should be Out of the Tourny then Going onto Winning it as I Predicted with Ronnie when he came back from 4-0 down against Andrew Higginson and then went onto Winning German Masters!
I will say the same with Selby he should have Lost 4-2 to Sam Baird in 1st Round as Sam Missed Simple Blue in Middle Pocket, Now I will put my Head on the Block again and Say Selby to Win as thats what seems to be happening!
Althou I will just say if Selby Plays like he just did against Ronnie he will lose!

A dull match. I didn't even bother to bat an eyelid throughout the whole game.
No drama, no tactical beauty, no pure scoring.. Just missed balls flying around the table, making it a total mess.
Generally, in such situations I'm disappointed at my favourite player's loss. Not this time.
I'm just disappointed to have wasted quite a couple of hours watching this. All the way Mark J!!

We have all played this game and know that when the run goes against you everything else follows it.
At least Ronnie kept his cool and suffered in politeness. In my mind I thought he lost well considering how he would have performed 5 years ago.
I was frustrated watching it, Ronnie must have been piste.

All I can say that at days like this you get to rethink how much time you spend following snooker and whether it's worth it. This is not about Ronnie losing or Selby winning... And I just love the nice words the commentators use to describe tonight and how optimistic they are about that "quality" final we will have tomorrow. Thanks but no thanks I'd rather go fishing in the dead sea

I'm quite disappointed with today's play to be honest, two one-sided semi-finals. At 10pm when the score was 2-2 I was convinced it would be a midnight finish, but Selby just had to win 6-2. The quality was mediocre, the drama was not there either. It did have some good safety play at least, especially from Selby. But he also had some outrageous luck at times.
Maybe the final will be better. Certainly should be, considering who the players are. But let's leave that for tomorrow...

There always seems to be a bout of sour grapes and melodrama when ROS gets knocked out. It's a good thing that fans of other players don't vent themselves every time their favourite loses, otherwise these forums would be unreadable.
Ding vs Selby is a better final for the neutral. The players represent two of the best in the world, have different styles, and a very even H2H. I'd much sooner see this than a possible repeat of the one-sided 2007 Masters final. I think Ding would prefer his chances against Selby than ROS.
