Hendry was on TalkSport the other night speaking from China.

He said he is out there playing Chinese pool in his exhibitions, and won't be playing any snooker until he gets back this afternoon and gets straight on the practice table!

He claimed he'd prepared perfectly for all the tournaments this season, and it hadn't done him any good...so maybe this will be an improvement. lol

Tbf Bingham hasn't looked the same player from the Crucible last year when he nearly beat Ding,could turn out the worst match of the first round unless he improves.

Great to see Hendry cueing so well. He made a number of tough pots at the start of the break when he was out of position.

Joking aside, I wonder if there's something in this jet-lag thing? Maybe it can help a player get in the zone mentally? I seem to remember seeing an interview with Steve Davis where he said that he can't remember much about his 147 and was just playing on instinct because he was so tired...

Hendry was simply unstoppable today. Like in a time machine, he had that look in his eyes...that glaze he used to get when he just steamrolled everybody. He didn't even have his usual letdown in the middle of the session. Great all around performance.

So fun to watch.

hear hear!! all hail the king, was confident from 56 going on his "form" today, just phenomenal play today, very proud Hendry fan, mentioned him to a few people I know as not done yet, thanks great man, made my weekend!!! Standing ovation he got, and rightly so!

I say this about Phil Taylor, there's a darts player called "the machine" due to his love for mechanics and cars, Phil Taylor is the real machine, THE sporting phenom of the modern era, but Hendry is the snooker machine, he was well oiled and in full flow today, phenomenal stuff!! He looked different today, he didnt look like he would miss, sometimes I know a miss is round the corner but today he was zoned out, I too joked he should go to China every year if this is what it would do to him!! lol

Funny on hindsight, but I sort of knew he had the maximum on his mind already when he went for a tough red to middle very early in the frame if I remember. Just had that gut feeling and I'm glad I stuck with it and witnessed it live!
