The extra tournaments and more professional set up of the game in terms of new tournaments and PTCs seems to be working, the standard of the qualifiers is VERY high this year, nightmare to even get to the Crucible it seems, can only see the same thing happening in future years too!! Well played Jamie!

Well done to Jamie Jones, great win for him. He potted some great pressure long balls, missed a few easy ones but everyone does starting out in big venues like that.

Was surprised how bad murphy was, I'm glad jones didnt let him off the hook. Murphy doesn't compare for me to other top players when it comes to griinding something out...seems he needs to be on his a game to win these days.

Yes, an out of character display from Murphy in some ways. As we've seen over the last few years, the competition is so tough and you need to be near, or at the top of your game to win. Makes for fantastic viewing.

didnt see much of the match but he must have been quite good due to the breaks he made, I totally agree about Murphy too, hence why he wont be an all time great
