damn right, Hearn and his board are geniuses, turning snooker into a bonafide, tough hard pro sport, Ding blew an incredible chance there, deserves to lose, wanted him to win too! Well played Ryan, fantastic win, a very dangerous opponent, being so close to going out could spur him on, and also you can hardly say he's not a quality player and an average qualifier, former top 16 and ranking event winner if memory serves me, what a great match!!

Ding's out! Most of the seeds left in round one would, I imagine, be very nervous! I was going to stick a tenner on Ding as well, glad I didn't now. Although sticking it on Mark Allen didn't exactly work out either....

exactly, perhaps it has, Griffiths made a great observation yesterday (for he is a very smart, intelligent and great man) when he said players would need to practice less and choose tournaments, that's how a pro tour should be, it's not really pro if u can play in all tournaments every weekend, the idea is to fill up the calender after all like a proper tour, after all the players have been playing snooker all their lives, its not like 6 hours practice a day is gonna bring their game's on leaps and bounds, just an hour a day will be enough or a couple of days off a week and 4 or 5 match play frames a day 3 or 4 days before a tourney then an hour a day before a tourney would likely be enough for almost all of them!

Ryan Day was number 4 i think at 1 point, i was referring to the first round in general rather than this match alone.
