he is, former finalist, could be very close that one!! Think I may go over 50 breaks for most of these matches rather than predict winners!!

Nice to see Carter playing well again, he showed some signs of coming back to form in China, so it's not that surprising. The guy is certainly a problem for any player in the game over three sessions, when he is at his best. I think Trump will need to raise his game now.

can see Trump reaching the semis, if he got there does anyone know if he'd overtake Selby as number 1? Selby doesnt win enough anyway to stay at number 1, he's there or thereabouts but come the final he tends to run out of gas

cant quite see that, smart from bookies though, would rather have money on Ronnie (he's focused and up for the battle) and Higgins and Stevens each way, he's been round the block a few times and knows how to win long matches at the Crucible! Bit of experience, shot selection and taking one too many on are gonna cost Trump I think . . .

Dom could have won it in the first session. Trump looked like death warmed up and got out 5-4 up. Must have thought it was his birthday!

Great to see Carter back looking well and enjoying the game. He played very well last night, as good as anyone has done in a session so far. Looks to be hitting the ball very well, only O'Sullivan hits the ball better when on song. For anyone looking to copy a cue action look no further than Carter!
