Short n sweet for 10am if Gilbert sets off well he will cruise to victory that guy is a machine and very underachieved Other than that higgins is too strong.

17 and a half hours to go! Today is really dragging!

I think Gilbert's got a chance against Gould. Higgins should cruise past Liang. I'll be interested to see how jet-setting Hendry is at 2:30pm. Probably unshaven, scruffy, and with big black rings around his eyes...

Gould has been flying under radar for some time. Gilbert has to keep it close in the first session or a confident Gould would get an overwhelming win. I also expect Higgins to blow by Wenbo fairly easily.
Bingham v Hendry is definitely the m atch everybody will keep an eye on. I predict it to be close, so, that should be fascinating to watch.

We'll soon see. Just 10 hours to go!

It's safe to say Gilbert is far better than his ranking suggests. Lovely, natural cueist when he's on form.

Higgins and Liang still in a long first frame, great stuff from Gilbert so far!! Gould needs a frame to settle down soon!

So Higgins wins a very tense first frame, needed a good few chances though.
