Unlucky but I can't really have too much sympathy for him because like many young players his shot selection lets him down too much. Maguire will tie him up in knots and already has him sussed. Also he is really struggling with the pace of the table and the tightness of the pockets which seem quite nippy this year. The longer this cloth stays on the table the tighter it will play.

I wouldn't go as far as having no sympathy for him..... It is his first at the crucible and he's on a learning curve being on the big stage, Magiure has got a whole lot more experience!!

Not a bad first session for Luca..... 6-3 still with in touching distance, it could have been a whole lot worse after being 4-0 down after the first mini-session!!

That is more like it Luca. That is the stuff I have watched him play all through the qualifiers. With a little bit of sense and better judgement, Luca would have been leading 5-4 or &-3 very easily.

Meanwhile, Gould looks like he has got his memory back. It is so frustrating to be his fan, he just loses it for a while and then starts playing as if there is no tomorrow. irritating.
