I think that Trump was lucky to play against Dale, if he would draw couple of other qualifiers that could punish him severly for his mistakes, he would be out. Dom just couldn't do that and to be fair to him he wasn't playing 100% either. However if Trump will get over this food poisoning and will bring his A game I don't see any reason why he couldn't win this year

Tournament is wide open.
I think Hendry will beat Higgins.
And I agree on the performance of Trump...he did well considering and applied his safety play rather well. Dale also missed too many (easy) chances though, so Trump basically was let off the hook too many times. Trump did seem to have a better allround safety game this time, he is growing and his game is improving. I'm very curious to see him within a couple of years time...see whether he has the good allround game that f.i. Hendry and Higgins had back then.Last edited by daffie; 26 April 2012, 11:09 AM.

Great total clearence of 132 by Ali Carter his 139th centuray of his professional careerer to beat an off form Mark Davis 10-2, A good result for Ali who has had a bad season and at one point threatned to quit the game. btw does anybody of a link to careerer centuaries of all players, I remember a website a couple of years ago where you could pick your players for each tornamentand it also included the update centuaries of thier careerer after each tornament, but I think it closed down and I forgot the link to it as wellRonnie O' Sullivan seven times the record breaking Snooker Master

“All rubbish. I don’t think I played well, I don’t think the table was right, I don’t think the fans were right. All rubbish. Rubbish fans.”
“I couldn’t concentrate on the game, like shouting you know, how can they do that? People say Chinese fans are no good, I come here, what do they do?”
I'm not sure BH will appreciate Ding's comments...

Fingers crossed though, only Maguire, Trump and Robertson between him and the Holy Grail then. (I think we're about to see why I don't enter any of the prediction contests. )

Am I the only one who is getting a bit annoyed with Neil's constant complaints about some small noise or movement that put him off, while often it seems to be more like he is finding an excuse for a badly hit shot? I don't know, something that has caught my eye over the past 2 years or so. It's like he's gone a tad high&mighty imo. His change in walk-on music from the wonderful 'Down under' to some stupid heroic Gladiator-type movie-score since he won the WC 2 years ago has not favored Neil to me neither. I used to really like him...

Maguire and Perry seem intent on making the century charity some serious money, 3 centuries in 3 frames I heard? am watching Premier League Darts tonight with highlights of snooker later, got snooker on in background, Williams doing everything he needs to, so classy he's a great outside bet!
