  • World Championship suggestion

I know we did this last year and I think it was so much better - so I'll suggest it again: Why don't we have a thread for each match, rather than for each round?

This is my first visit to TSF since the championship started and there's no way I'm going to be able to find comments about a certain talking point!

I see it's too late for the first round but I would strongly recommend that this is organised for the second round onwards.

Yes, I think we could do that. There is always a danger some matches in the 1st round wouldn't get that much attention, Gould-Gilbert for example, and you could end up with "empty" threads. But surely every match from the 2nd round onwards is at least going to get a couple of pages of discussion.

Well why doesn't one person and i mean just one person start creating the second round match threads as they get known ?

So far we have Higgins v Hendry and Robertson v Gilbert

The threads can include all bulid up and predictions talk etc

well i,m going to 1st session of higgins v hendry on friday and hoping its a cracker, would like to see hendry win the match but i suspect higgins will prevail, having said that he wasn,t great in his win over wenbo so i could be wrong.

the commentary would be annoying as it would muffle when two commentators talk at once

I think it is a good idea myself and the members could predict the result of the match as well before the start time

I use chrome, I open two tabs one for each table. Then, I pull the tabs out into separate windows (click + drag + drop). I shrink each window down so they only show the video feed + volume controls. Then I mute the table I don't want commentary for. Job done... of course as I have 2 monitors I could just maximise each table on it's own window .. but then where would I put TSF

aye though the thread was about threads per game not watching the games!!!!

i usually have one of the tables on eurosport on the big telly, another on the laptop by the side of me, and messing about on here or other sites on the main pc just have the sounds muted so dont have to listen to willie thorne!

yeah good idea, i open the bbc snooker website in 2 chrome windows, put the commentary on to volume level 1 of 11, for the table I dont want to watch, maximise them both and use the hold alt key plus tab function to switch between the table im watching and TSF, then if something happens on the other table I can hear it slightly and switch to that!
