  • David Gilbert v Neil Robertson

Well, as Statman already proposed, we should go along with threads per match from now on, I believe.
    There you go!

I see Robertson winning by the score line of 13-5. Robertson's vast experience and superior tactical play could prove pivotal..

I don't think Robertson will let Gilbert to threaten his authority, either.
That said, I would not complain to get a closer match than I expect.

I think Robertson will probably stamp his authority on the match at some point. Gilbert has the scoring power the stay with Robertson early on, unless Robertson is right at the top of his game. But as the pressure builds, I think Robertson should pull away. He has plenty of experience in "session snooker" these days.

13-5 to Neil Robertson, David Gilbert as never been involed in a best of 25 frame match and playing a former world champion as well I reckon he will be nervous to start off with, but with over half the seeds falling at the first hurdle could we have a shock result.

              so the sessions 1st session 6-2 Robertson, 5-3 Robetson (11 - 5) and third 2-0 Robertson (13-5)

              good luck to both players

Roberston should win 13-4 or 13-5.

Gilbert's looking positive isn't he. If he can just keep his mistakes down Neil will have a fight on his hands.

Never heard anyone as excited about a safety shot as John Virgo was just then.

Enjoyable game. They're not potting lights out, but there has been some decent to great safety shots to watch.

Robertson is starting to play. I'm sure he will be looking for 5-3 from the first session now.
