Higgins is so poor that Hendry has even started to play long reds along the cushion, swerving past other balls.

I think this is the mediocre session we all expected from Hendry, but the difference compared to other years is that he is getting away with it big time. He won't be winning like this against Maguire.

He isn't 27 any more, there are shots he is taking on which he shouldn't

He needs to make this modification to his game if he wants to truly challenge for the title

agreed, maguire is hit and miss, the other half of the draw is a lot tougher, all other players in this section of the draw know what a chance this is with some seeds going out!

higgins has a habit to lose in the 2nd round after the years he won the WC

2008: lost to ryan in the 2nd
2010:lost to davis in the 2nd
2012: will lose to hendry in the 2nd, a forgettable season for higgins

think he gave it all last year
