Whilst Higgins is having a mare he is also having a very poor run of the balls. It always seems to be the case though that the guy who struggles has the worst luck too, not that luck will change this match around.

Higgins has had bad sessions and matches in the past though, he didn't exactly play well the year Steve Davis knocked him out with the NOTW scandal going on shortly afterwards. Its matches like this you start to wonder whether these two have money on the game!!!

He never played this badly though! He has so many problems with his game that this match could be over tonight. He is struggling with anything slightly difficult, his timing and therefore positional play is short, even his safety, usually his biggest asset is not reliable. I'll be amazed if Hendry doesn't come out of this session at least 5 frames up. He'll have to completely bottle it to not get that sort of a lead. And Hendry is getting away a lot with anything he is missing.

No I can't hear a thing! Nah fair play to Dave, played him a few times in pro-ams at Masters club Walsall where he used to play. Cracking player and really deserves his shot at the big time.
