86% pot success and Mark still shouldn't feel that bad about being 5-3 down, I guess.

What a great session of snooker to watch.
These two players are really something special.
Was more for some of the clever shots theyed played, Mark in particular. There's not many players who could have been 3-2 there on ronnie without making big breaks.
Ronnies touch on some shots was different class. Even in 1st frame when laying a snooker on the pink. Great to watch. When Mark stole the 4th frame and then went 3-2 up was a real test for Ronnie, Ronnie knew he let slip a chance to get an early lead.
I think it's a warning to the rest of the field now that Ronnie is up for this, and he hasn't hit 3rd gear yet :snooker:

Williams will be disappointed losing that last frame with O'Sullivan fluking the green, though he's still well in the match. The one thing he needs to do is win the first frame when they resume tommorrow, or otherwise Williams may find it difficult to hold onto O'Sullivan's coat-tails.."Statistics won't tell you much about me. I play for love, not records."

Mark just isn't THAT good a player anymore, because if his lack of scoring. His last hurrah as a genuine great player was around 2010/early2011. Won the China Open, German Masters and had a few finals. Should have beaten Higgins in the final of the UK and semi finals of the world as well but bottled it both times.
Hope he can get back to where he was though.

I agree it wouldn't have been justice for Mark to be 4-4. Ronnie nearly scored double the points during the session....
I think Mark might even be the happiest of the two because Ronnie missed frame ball to go 3-1 up at the interval. Mark could have easily been 6-2 down if Ronnie had of won the frame to go 3-1 up.
