I think the captain will win this one 13 - 5. Just don't think judds mind is on it fully yet. So if may cost him. Ali has a good chance of making a point this year. He's a solid player when he's on his game. I really think he thinks he's going to go all the way. Bold I know....;-)

I'm split on this match, probably my two favourite players in the game. I'm just disappointed they meet this early in the tournament because we are losing a player who could arguably reached the semi final if they were in another part of the draw.
I expect Judd to win simply because when he's on form he frightens his opponent more than anyone else in the game right now. Carter will have to play flawless in every session to stand a chance, he's capable of that, but I just think that Judd will have too much for him in the end.

I can't see this being a one sided affair, could even be a final frame decider!!!

I'll go for 5 3 Trump tonight, but dont think he'll play awesome, think he may struggle with the expectation, Carter does have a chance as long as he scores well and doesnt take too many shots on, sometimes the best thing to do with Trump appears to be to play good matchplay and make him take one too many on or get frustrated then cash in big time!

Yeah I agree breakman...I think Trump has got away with murder in the past taking on riskly pots...Against Dale in 1st round, he gave Dale plently of gifts, but Dale didnt take advantage...Trump was really lucky in the UK against Dale...Dale looked like winning, was playing well, Trump got frustrated and got 2 unreal flukes at vital times..

If you listen to the other players, they are saying Trump is a dangerous player, but he cant keep playing in a purple patch knocking in everything and there are plenty of experience boys around to out manners on him!

Having said that, he does seem to be getting better in the tactical deptpartment, so who knows!

I hope Carter wins this - reading about his illness I've got a lot of sympathy for him. Always comes across as being a nice guy. He's currently ranked 17th and he's got a lot of points to protect here as he made the semi finals in 2010.

Anyway, still good to see him battling. I don't want to see Ali retiring at such a young age.
