I came in at the interval, some really great frames, and the 8. th was fantastic. Deserved that Ali won it though. If Ali can keep this standard, he´ll be a serious contender for the title.

Trump has self confidence and great potting ability, but if you play long pots over and over in a session, it's pretty clear that you'll miss as many as you make, as well.

this is why its actually smart from the bookies, lots of people think "Trump got to final this year, maybe one better, and he's favourite" place a shed load on him, then Trump crashes out, bookies laugh at the mug punters! Much better having money on Robertson or O'Sullivan or Maguire even I think, they have better shot selection and have the control and adaptability to scrap out games!

maybe fractionally, but Carter has been more controlled, and shown he can turn to a tactical game and make the right shot selection when he needs to, deserved 5 3 lead, hardly put a foot wrong after the interval!

A very entertaining session, Carter showing that he really is back to some form. Trump looks a bit uninspired for the moment, but he could have easily made it 4-4 there, from 50 behind on a difficult table. If those long balls start going in a bit more, he will fancy his chances.
