            hawkins, stevens or day

one of them will be in the semi finals, who had thought this

but afraid that they wont stand any chance against neil or ronnie ( or maybe mark)

winner of neil or ronnie will win the thing for me, would fancy stevens if this match gets close!

                    8-8
                    fully deserved

but for stevens was and is the better player of the two

Finally, I am watching Matthew playing very well .... he is my top favourite with Williams, but I have been unfortunate to see him struggle always. 8-8 now, I hope he will make it through .....

Yes it's good to see him playing well again, and although it's still too close to call, if he can get through this round he'll face Ryan Day next, who I think he'll have a decent chance against, but Robertson or Osullivan(probably) in the semis? Very tough, you never know though....

This just has 12-12 written all over it, doesn't it?

Of all the players that appear regularly on TV, I don't think anyone plays more deciders than Stevens and Hawkins.

I dunno, Trump seems to have some kind of hold over Ronnie. I know ROS won at the Welsh Open but before that Trump won 3 or 4 in a row. Ronnie kisses a lot of balls from his safety's these days and leaves his opponent with long pots. It's okay against Ebdon and Williams but against Trump and Roberton it's entirely different.

Last year ROS came off two impressive wins against Dale and Murphy and was considered the favorite for the tournament until he faced John Higgins and was pretty average. That is the nature of ROS these days. He's a 'bully' who can destroy players who he's clearly better than, but is a different player against the top, top players like Higgins, Robertson, Trump ect.
