why would you want to see a session sweep? It's irrelevant that frame from Hendry really, he obviously cant win the match now, barring a miracle!

Hendry all smiles at 1-7 down. That tells me a lot.

He's done his work this week. Quarter final, 147... he's happy with what he's achieved. I don't think Hendry's hungry enough to win this match. He was beat before they started.

Good play by Maguire though.

Just because I don't like Hendry. Nothing else. He's no different than Valentino Rossi or Michael Schumacher for me. They dominate their respective sports and inexplicably want more, which is something ludicrous in my book.
It's always better when he makes it past a couple of rounds and then gets brutally beaten. He really thinks like he can compete for a while only to crash back to the earth right after the next match. That's enjoyable.

You never know, maybe the evening session will bring it closer together. Over this kind of tournament, some players always "wake up" earlier, but then also get sleepy earlier in the night. On the other hand, the match could finish with a session to spare.

Nice judgement
Maguire struggled with his break building early on and had only one 50+ break by the first half of the session, but Hendry couldn't really bring anything onto the table.
Then, after the interval, all started to click into place for Maguire and he stamped his authority on the match.
Hendry's safety play was atrocious, to be honest. It really hurt his overall play and now has an uphill task in his hands.

that's the beauty of the crucible, on a 2 table set up, you get your money's worth either way 99.9% of the time!

Turned on the coverage to find Hendry 6-0 down. Unfortunately, even over a longer match I can't see how Hendry has any chance of getting back into it. It's surprising, because the rest of his play in the tournament has looked right up there and with the seeds all dropping, I was slowly coming round to thinking he may be in with a shout for an 8th title. But not any more.

Having said that, he'll now win 6 on the bounce and I'll look foolish!

He is playing some good snooker today...Hendrys poor play gave him confidence and now he is flying....
