Well played Stevens, he didn't allow himself to get dragged down to Day's level. Two-visit snooker was mostly enough to cruise through the match, but of course he will need to raise his game for the semi-finals now.
Does anyone else feel like the World Championship has just flown by this year? These 12 days have felt like "foreplay" to me, with almost no match really feeling like anything decisive was happening. Perhaps it's the lack of big matches between the top players, or maybe the lack of late-night snooker (still only one midnight finish). When the final is over I am usually completely drained, having been overwhelmed by snooker for 17 days. This year, I feel like I want to watch another 10 days of snooker, but there's only a couple of days left.
