I just wonder if the preliminary results are posted anywhere as I am trying to understand the form of the tournament prior to round of 32.

ps. I don't think wikipedia's information is complete, round 1 has only one game between Igor and Jamie? weird.

www.snooker.org is a great source of info - try this page http://www.snooker.org/res/index.asp?event=102 ... round 1 on wiki's page is what www.snooker.org call qual round 3 ... there were 2 rounds previous to that with non-main tour players marked (a) ...

but wiki is right ... there was only one match in that qualifying round ... don't ask me why but something to do with multiples of 16 I would imagine

I suppose (a) means amateur. I would suppose there were more amateurs playing to qualify, there were probably more games held for amateurs to reach that stage. Just my assumption.

it was because a lot of players guaranteed to drop off the tour pulled out Bjorn Haneveer for instance
