  • Again...good job Matthew!!! Keeping the pressure on Ronnie, who isn't playing very well at the moment...12-9 it is.

    • Stevens get's a double kiss - white goes back up the table.
Ronnie get's a double kiss - easy frame winning chance for Stevens.

12-9 now. 4 of the last 5 frames for Stevens. A combination of Stevens playing well, having a lot of luck and O'Sullivan playing poor is what's changed this. Pretty much the worst possible situation as far as momentum goes.

      edit:

Another double kiss for Ronnie - leaves easy red.

      • Ronnie needs to go into attacking mode now, Stevens is dictating this match by playing percentage snooker, Ronnie has gone too defensive and trying to defend his lead. He has the problem though that the run isn't going for him whereas Stevens seems to be getting away with a lot of mistakes.

          • Stevens has done a lot of good work this morning. He just needs two of the last three frames now, which sounds a lot easier than six out of eight.

Agreed. However I also have a feeling Ronnie will be firing a bit now...maybe indeed win all 3 remaining frames. He hasn't been competing, or so it feels. When he does get in that frame of mind, he will power in a couple of frames in no time...

                • Great stuff ...13-9 it is .....if Ronnie can win one more frame this session the match is almost over.

                        • He needed that break, excellent response. As long as O'Sullivan wins one of the two frames, he will have a healthy cushion for this evening.

It was fairly good I suppose, but it's for naught if you give your opponent a chance off the break in the frame straight after.

                              • Thanks for the score updates here - faster than the BBC webpage (my work blocks the stream ).

                                First mini-session: 4-0 Ronnie
                                Second mini-session: 3-1 Matthew
                                Third mini-session: 2-2
                                Fourth mini-session: 4-0 Ronnie
                                Fifth mini-session: 3-1 Matthew
                                Sixth mini-session: 2-2?

Anyone else see the pattern developing? At that rate Ronnie will win 17-10.
