You're right. This longevity will only solidify their place amongst the greatest of all times.
And yes, somehow, they still have it.

So, if you take a close look at it, Williams ended the previous season as World number one, Higgins won the world title and O'Sullivan has a chance to win it this year. Three 37-year-old players that well made it past their primes are still at the top of this game and regular contenders for titles.
I respect any opinion, but in all honesty, I cannot see today's Top 16 coping with the very best of Higgins, Williams or O'Sullivan.

wow, u find in every positivenes something negative

have some belief, he wont bottle it

he sometimes bottles it, if u wanna call this, when he plays players who doesnt suit him (selby) or rates them very high (higgins).

but this is closely connected with his form. the games he lost against them after leading wasnt due to his bottle alone. he wasnt playing his best at all and wasnt mentally stabile as he is now. maybe that red against higgins at the grand prix 09 where he couldnt make his mind up to follow through or screw back was pure bottle. Pressure can do funny things sometimes but he also brings the best out of the oppoenet when they are back against the wall such as selby.even the greats have to deal with it, its the nature of the game. the secret is how u will cope with it better next time.

ronnie rarely chokes, but also higgins has done it on some occasions (f.e. his match against davis 2 years ago) who i consider as the best pressure player of all time

BUT: ronnie at his best and with peace himself is unstoppable.

and this is his current state of mind.

John Higgins is the only player who can beat an in form Ronnie O'Sullivan.

Though ROS is still a long way a way from beating Stevens, nevermind beating Maguire/Carter.

I do think Maguire could be a handful and if he can refrain from beating himself up, then Maguire could beat ROS in the final. Ali Carter might have somethng to say about that first though...

Only Hendry and O'Sullivan hit 50 centuries in a season, Selby's record is irrelevant for me.
Robertson hit 54 this season and in my opinion, he doesn't make the cut. With this many tournaments back when Hendry and Ronnie were at their primes, the standard would probably be around 70-80.

I have to say the determined way he played throughout this tournament, the mental strength, the discipline he showed, I don't value him as much as I did back in the past. He looks more methodical than ever.
