i think after williams achieved that he got bit lazy and had no clear cut aims
Williams at the very top his game in his heyday was on par with O'Sullivan and Higgins, if not better. But his certain period of drought dropped him behind those two in the consideration.
Still, if we are talking about absolute best, he isn't behind.

Definitely. Williams could have been in that bracket though, had he not dropped down 8 or 9 years ago.

I said at the time that 2010/2011 was a massive year for Williams. He should have won his 3rd UK and beaten Higgins in the WC semi final. That would have put him ahead of Higgins in the UK and level with Higgins/Ronnie with World Championships. He bottled both though.

Cheat Higgins shouldn't be mentioned in the same sentence as any legend of the game.

    Higgins

Plus O'Sullivan has 166 more centuries and 6 more maximums.

Saying that, this is jumping the gun a bit. Carter could make a comeback tonight, and I fancy Higgins to play for another 3 or 4 years atleast whilst this might be Ronnie's last appearance here.
