Breakman, I'll show respect where respect is due. The stare was just the icing on the cake. The constant head shaking in some way trying to make out that Ronnie has been lucky, not once tapping the table to acknowledge a good shot, not raising a hand to apologise for a fluke.
i have to say that I tend to agree with you. Ali has been annoying me with his behavior, like you described. I do still have respect for him though...

Before this match I didn't mind the guy but Ali Carter has ruined this final for me and I have no respect for him whatsoever
Indeed...that's why it's nothing really. But it was a bit pathetic though. No need for it in snooker, and being 14-7 down, playing like you are, it's probably best to refrain from such stupidities.
Having said all that, Ali did manage to pull one back...so who knows
It was at the beginning of the session, so, the score was 10-7 at that point (=
lol it happens in all sports, part of psychology, I bet neither of the players thought anything of it!

but he couldnt afford to then 9 ahead i believe he can have a few shots at it it has never been done in the final to my know;ledge
He could afford to do it. He had an excellent chance to play for it, when an easy shot from the red to the centre would have carried the cue ball to the black, he just played the stun shot and went for the frame. Very conservative it was.
I'd say...bet your house! I can't believe he hasn't been trying earlier. He's had a couple of chances, but chose making sure of the frame instead...which is the best sign from Ronnie all week.
I'm still saying that's the sign of his retirement.
Thank God for that! Carter is dedicated enough to have made something of himself, carlos1981, have some respect for someone who's dedicated their life to achieving their dream, ie playing in one world final, his second one at the moment, that counts for something even if you dont like the guy!
