All kinds of goings in this match..... problems ranging from the lights in the arena to problems with the scoreboard.

Good standard so far though, and I can still see this match going the full distance..

I'm all for legends, but this match is plain terrible.

Well, it's a long match. So they both have time to settle. I wouldn't put much value to their performance against Ronnie in World Open... But overall Hendry played better in that tournament. And he is mostly playing better than Jimmy, his ranking shows it. That's why Jimmy will have hard time against Hendry but it doesn't change the fact that it's one of the most interesting matches in UK Champ this year.

Well I don't know about terrible, I'm quite enjoying it, but yeah it's getting very scrappy now. Maybe the oldtimers are ready for their glass of warm milk and a little nap.

Yes...another mistake from Hendry and Jimmy steals the frame to level the match....quite poor standard, but i enjoyed every minute.

It's not terrible at all. You cannot practice pressure. A few points that need making ;-

White and Hendry last played each other 24 years ago and are still playing each other in a top event. More significantly, it's the most talked about match so far. White v O'Sullivan was also the most anticipated game at the Open.

Furthermore, everyone keeps droaning on about how much better the standard is these days. All you need to do is look at the popularity of the game v the popularity 10, 15 or 20 years ago. Games that are won with one, maybe 2 vists to the table have hardly propelled the game forward.

Tension has always made sport much more entertaining.

A few observations on the game ;-

White clearly struggling with position. His potting is fine but the ones he misses are down to the poor previous shot.

Hendry missing some more straight forward shots and playing some shots without any thought.

Most of this is brought about by pressure and imo, makes great t.v

Thoroughly enjoyed that. Nice last frame steal by jimmy, if he comes out tomoro and has his socks pulled up he can put an end to this match. Come on jim.

jimmy cant be that lucky 2 days on the trot.

He couldnt pull his socks up if he had a Stairlift.
