What run of the ball? Havent seen any lucky shots there
Shame Niel lost but Shaun was certainly better in the end of the match
Well Robertsons carambole split to the red ball. First Murphy was very lucky to leave the red ball snookered in front of the pocket and then the white ball went in afterwards. There were a couple of other misses, where he didn´t leave anything on.

And a great tournament for Mark Joyce... Breaking into the top 48, a new highest competitive break and pole position in the race for the highest tournament break
I'm glad the right Mark J. won in the end though
Also congrats to Shaun Murphy on defeating the world champion:snooker:

It looks to me like Murphy is the man to beat. He looked very confident and his longpotting was excellent in the last frames.
I don´t understand why they critizised him so much for letting the free ball on brown down. If he had missed on it, Robertson could easily had come back to take the frame, and the white ball was close to the cushions.
Murphy-Williams in the bottom half looked very possible at the start of the tournament, but Williams did have it a bit easier than expected. Murphy has looked stronger so far, but I have a feeling Williams is starting to play a bit as well.
So, Robertson's mini run of good results comes to an end, and quite possibly an early exit at the Masters as well, with O'Sullivan in his quarter.
Mike Smith keeps talking about how Robertson has the chance to become the world number one. Makes me wonder who the hell holds that position currently.
Everybody were watching the Marks match
So how good was Murphy, really? (Or Robbo... bad?)
MJW stands any chance?

Well, there was a run when traded big breaks up to 7-6 for Murphy. Robertson looked like he would crack first in the next frame, when his scoring visit ended early. But the frame went scrappy and he got it back to 7-7. After that, Murphy dominated, but he missed an important ball after that monitor malfunction. He also played a couple of mediocre shots when he was trying to split the reds. But other than that, he looked quite impressive.
I only saw a part of the Williams match, so I can't fully judge how well he played. But considering the criticism I read here, I have to favour Murphy in the SF.
Well, yes. I think I have to take the credit for his win last night.
Congratulations to both Williams and Murphy! Williams started to perform a little in the last session. Not his best but definitely better than so far. He even celebrated a little after hitting the frame clinching black, so it must have meant something to him. You don't see that too often from MJW.
I missed the most of the Muprhy v Robertson match but I gathered it was a high class match. So looking forward to the semis, interesting games there, but Williams still has to up his game if he wants to be in the final as Murphy is in such a fine form.

You'll have to do it today as well though! But I'll start the cheer off nice and early
Come On Mark A!!!:snooker:
Isn't it strange that all quater-finals were won by the same scoreline?
And of course a massive congratulations to Mark Williams and Shaun for winning yesterday in my absence! :snooker:
