I was at Maguire/Higgins today (great match) and good old Rob Walker made an interesting announcement before the afternoon session started. At Telford, you can buy four tickets for the Masters or World Championship and pay for only one!
Must be Barry Hearn's reaction to what have been some rather sparse crowds during the week, though it was about 2/3 full today on the main table and likely to be that way or better for the rest of the tournament.
Bit of a bargain whichever way you look at it. I suppose bums on seats and making the venues look packed are better than the few bob he must make on ticket sales.
