No mistake from Williams this time, and a good 5-3 lead before the evening session. He didn't play particularly well himself today, so he might need to up his game as well if Murphy comes back at him tonight.

Earlier this day, I was prepared to watch eight frames of snooker..
My internet connection was cut off due to weather conditions and I watched half of a frame..

5-3 looks good, but from what I've heard from the commentators, MJW keeps struggling again.

Not a huge advantage going into the evening session but still good enough to build on...

5-3 looks good, but from what I've heard from the commentators, MJW keeps struggling again.

I don't think he struggled that bad. I thought there was like one bad miss from him. That's it. And early on he scored quite well and there were couple of cracking shots. His safety was good as well. After he lost the fifth frame from well ahead he seemed to lose it for while but winning 2/4 frames after msi was a decent result.

But there is room for improvement, especially with the long ones. And maybe scoring wise as well... Looking forward to the evening session. Murphy may come back strongly and Mark should be prepared.

One thing I noticed with Mark's play this week is that he really struggled to develop the balls while building a break, which is very unusual for him. Although he got some flukes and ran away with a couple of bad misses, in general, he didn't get the run of balls, especially when he tried to split the pack.

On a high note, despite not playing as good as he could, his mentality is so strong at the moment that nobody could write him off for the title hunt.

Cant think of many players in the history of the game that gets gets good results when playing way below par . This is one of the reasons why i rate him so high .

I always remember the 2003 WC final when Doherty came back from 12-4 or sth to make it 16-16 but Mark still managed to win the last 2 frames! Not many can keep their self-control and handle that kind of pressure :snooker:

i thought ronnies long game is the worst in nowadays game (expecept the last months or so )

but MJ tops it (considering long potting is his strenght),he misses by miles, he makes ronnie look a genius in this deparmtnet
